Hart gets Capello backing

Fabio Capello has praised Birmingham City goalkeeper Joe Hart with the World Cup just 4 months away

England boss Capello’s compliment was well deserved by Hart as the 22-year old has helped Birmingham reach 8th place in the Premier League with a string of fine performances

“Hart is having a fantastic season,” said Capello. “He is in good form now.

“Before he made mistakes but he makes fewer now because he plays regularly and has more confidence.”

“Franco went to see him and he has seen a great improvement,” Capello added.

Hart’s chances have been boosted by injury to David James and inconsistent performances by Manchester United’s Ben Foster and West Ham’s Robert Green

“It is very difficult for Foster because he is not playing,” said Capello.
