KESC introduces new ways of getting & paying bills

As the stand-off between union and KESC continues, the Karachi Electric Supply COmpany has opted for innovation to ensure customers pay their bills in time and the financial difficulties of the copany are not increased manyfolds. The newly devised methods will not only be helpful for those who have not received their bills due to the stand-off but also facilitate users in the long term as the features will remain a permanent fixture.


According to a widely disseminated email, following facilities have been introduced:

  1. Print copy of bill from
  2. Get bill from various outlets and pay the bill there
  3. Make a call to the call centre and get a duplicate copy of bill
  4. Get the bill by e-mailing to
  5. Online banking services for bill payment

For using any of the above mentioned service, customer will need the 13-digit account number to verify his identity

The details of the above methods, as e-mailed by KESC are as follows:

First is to visit the utility’s official website, and enter the 13-digit account number to retrieve a duplicate copy of the current electricity bill which can be printed and can be presented at all banks for making payment. The banks have been taken into confidence about this measure and they have circulated the instruction to all branches for acceptance of duplicate bill.

Second way is to directly go to the offices of NADRA, NIB Bank branches, Easy Paisa outlets, UBL Omni Banking and 1-Link ATMs, and present the 13 digit account number. These outlets would retrieve bill details and provide a payment receipt of the bill to the customer.

Thirdly, the customers who do not receive their monthly bills, can telephone the KESC call centre 118 and follow the automated system to retrieve a duplicate copy of the bill. They can pay their bills through this duplicate.

Fourth way is to email customer’s 13-digit number to the after which they will receive an electronic copy of their bill which can be printed and presented to the bank for payment.

Fifthly, the customers familiar with online payment can use their existing online banking services where most banks will provide bill details before allowing payments.

    My Kesc A/C # is 0714204040780 and Consumer # is LA-430491,Chappal Beaach Arcade 2,Clifton-4.Karachi.I am trying to take out the bill but seems its no update.I am a regular payment before and after, but this month is the problem that we will get salaries after Eid so Pls. do not cutoff my supply. Can you give me relief of 10 days. It will be appreciated.Pls.reply you can see my past record.
