Manchester City agree Edin Dzeko deal

Manchester City & Wolfsburg have agreed fee for the transfer of the hottest striker in Europe, Edin Dzeko according to Man City manager Roberto Mancini.

Edin Dzeko off to Manchester City

The 24-year-old Bosnian striker is in contract with the German club till 2013, but it is understood that an offer near £30m will trigger a buy-out clause in his contract. Dzeko has scored 66 goals in 111 games for Wolfsburg and has been constantly linked with almost all of top European clubs throughout the summer.

Roberto Mancini said:

We have an important game at Arsenal coming up and I will speak about him after that

We’ve agreed a fee. He’s a good player and all the teams in Europe want him

Wolfsburg boss Steve McClaren:

He is a goal scorer who gets them with his left foot, his right foot, his head – he can score all types of goals

He is a good buy for them. He’s a good boy but he needs to work harder now he is in the Premier League than he does at present. But he will adjust, no problem.

He definitely has something that City miss. He will be ideal for City, especially alongside Carlos Tevez. That will be a very potent partnership.
