Arsenal came from a goal down to beat Stoke in a match overshadowed by a horrific injury to Aaron Ramsey

The Welsh starlet’s stretched leg was met by a poorly timed challenge by Ryan Shawcross. Ramsey’s foot appeared to be hanging from his leg in an awkward angle. The injury incident was not replayed on television

Shawcross received a red card for the challenge and left the ground in tears

Earlier, Pugh notched in from a deflected long throw by Delap, only for Bendtner to score a perfect header

Fabregas made no mistake from penalty spot after the ball touched Pugh’s hand in the penalty area

Vermalen scored from close range to take it beyond the home side
